Since I trained at this prestigious and iconic hotel (where, famously, Mr Rolls first met Mr Royce) in the centre of Manchester many years ago I have always wanted to return there and Emma & Richard’s wedding was the perfect opportunity. The Reception Lobby and Champagne Bar have just undergone a huge refurbishment and takes your breath away as you first walk through the grand entrance.
The Lancaster Suite on the first floor was the Ceremony Room Emma and Richard chose to exchange their vows, resplendent with its wood panelled walls, intricate ceilings and grand fireplace.
Emma was probably the most excited bride I have ever had the privilege to photograph. All though Bridal preparations she was relaxed and smiling but also anxious to get to her Ceremony and marry her man. The 3 flower girls, collectively Emma and Richard’s children were also equally happy to become step-sisters. With their long honey-coloured long curls and matching dusky pink sparkly dresses they already looked like peas-in-a-pod.
Richard wore a smart and stylish black suit, looking very much of a James Bond agent. Once Emma arrived in the Lancaster Suite her face lit up as soon as she set eyes on here groom. The Ceremony, as is the case currently, was rather short but the moment the Registrar proclaimed Emma & Richard, Husband & Wife, they were straight in with one of the best First Kisses ever!
The cake cutting, mingling, group shots were all so lovely with this small intimate gathering. We then had a wander around this beautiful hotel, pausing for photos of just the bride and groom enjoying a little time to themselves. Such a stylish and lovely family atmosphere at this intimate family wedding we were so glad to be a part of.
