What a beautiful day. Such a stylish wedding of Rory and Olivia on the stunning Temple Island situated in the River Thames, just outside of Henley-on-Thames. Rory and his amazing band of brothers and friends made up the party of ushers, such a fantastic group of gentlemen you would struggle to meet.
The day started with bridal prep at the gorgeous Hotel du Vin near the River Thames in Henley, just down the road from the Church, St. Mary’s.
After the beautiful ceremony, the bride and groom hot-footed it down to the river moorings to hop on the amazingly crafted wooden boat which would transport them on the short trip down the river to the beautiful Temple Island, closely followed by their wedding guests on a larger craft.
We managed to get a few bride and groom portraits before the main wedding party arrived. The wedding reception food was wonderful, I get the feeling Rory is a bit of a foodie in his spare time! Only the best ingredients. I really loved the handmade buffalo mozzarella plait, just sooo lovely.
The speeches were fantastic, some of the best we’ve heard, this band of brothers and friends are seriously talented, and can hold a room’s attention with ease. The evenings’ entertainment came from the amazing HTG soul band, incredibly talented bunch.
After all this excitement, it was back on the boat, back home for bedtime. Wonderful day!
