What an absolutely incredible day!
From the arrival of Vinesh on a white horse to the packed dance floor with neon batons, this was definitely a wedding to remember!
Upstairs at Wrenbury Hall
Upstairs, in the bridal preparations room at Wrenbury Hall, Maya was calmly getting prepared for her day with meticulous detail – with her stunning red and gold dress, sparkly shoes and a variety of beautiful jewellery. Quorina, Maya’s sister, was helping the bride with her dress and veil, ensuring she was 100% ready for the long day ahead.
Groom on Horseback
Outside, Vinesh started his day, very smartly turned out with his white turban and red and white tunic, riding a beautifully decorated white horse at the gateway of Wrenbury Hall. As he set off on his journey along the driveway, their guests swarmed around him waving and cheering, making as much noise as they could to announce his arrival. The drumming and cheering could clearly be heard upstairs, so it must have been deafening for Vinesh and their family and friends! Once he reached the front doors Vinesh was allowed in by Maya’s family, allowing the celebrations to begin.
The Mandap
The Orangery at Wrenbury Hall is perfect for such large occasions, with the 200 guests being seated with plenty of room alongside the stunning flower arches and stage of the Hindu Ceremony about to take place. Every guest was invited to the stage to offer gifts and shower the couple in rose petals on the Mandap, followed by the formal photographs with the bride and groom. After the first ceremony, lunch was served with a huge variety of Indian dishes with plenty for all the hungry guests.
Civil Ceremony
After family photos and lots of socialising, we borrowed Maya & Vinesh for a few photos of just the two of them before it was time for their Civil Ceremony outside in the gardens. For mid-April, the weather was just perfect with warm sunshine and a gentle breeze. Maya arrived on her father’s arm, having had a slight dress and make-up change, and Vinesh was pleased to see her as she walked down the aisle towards him by the pagoda. After a confetti tunnel outside the front doors of Wrenbury Hall and even more social time, everyone retreated to their rooms to prepare for the evening.
Evening Celebrations
The guests were greeted with a glass of champagne and huge canopies as everyone reassembled for the Wedding Breakfast and evening celebrations to commence. Maya – in a stunning gold dress – and Vinesh were welcomed in as the newly married couple and went straight over to the dance floor to cut their beautiful cake with all of their friends and family cheering and clapping. As everyone sat and enjoyed their meal, a huge 5m long screen opposite Maya & Vinesh’s table showed photographs from earlier that day, including Vinesh arriving on the horse and Maya in all her splendid wedding outfits. After the meal and speeches, Maya and Vinesh took to the smoke-filled dance floor for their first dance, gliding across the floor so elegantly.
Party time!
Then, it was finally time for the party to really get started with loud dance music blasting around the Orangery. Everyone was on their feet dancing to the catchy music, packing the floor to the brim. The children were all given long neon glowsticks, having the best time running between the guests and lighting up the floor. The organisation and incredible detail that Maya and Vinesh had done for their wedding day was just amazing and it really was a pleasure to be a part of their memorable day.
