Wow, so much energy and such a packed day Hayley & Lee had for their wedding at Carden Park Estate.
Stunning location
Set in 1000 acres of beautiful Cheshire countryside, close to the North Wales borders, the luxurious 4-star hotel (also frequented by celebrities and Hollywood stars, being close to Wrexham) is the perfect location for a special day. As Cheshire wedding photographers and videographers, we love working at Carden Park as the views are incredible across the Cheshire plains and so many beautiful places to take photos and film couples on their special day.
Preparations at home
Hayley chose to get ready at home with her 2 sisters, niece Leah and daughter Tia May, with photos in her immaculate back garden before we left to travel to Carden Park.
Meanwhile, in the bar
We caught up with Lee in the bar, along with his Best Man (& brother) Wayne, groomsmen and other guests, preparing for the busy day ahead with a few drinks.
The Shooting Lodge Wedding Ceremony
Hayley, arriving in style in a vintage open-back car, was unusually early for a bride (but not Hayley) for her wedding, so the hotel staff had to quickly usher the groom and guests from the bar and over to the stunning Shooting Lodge where the ceremony was to take place. Lee was calmly chatting with guests, slightly nervous but excited to see his bride.
Hayley, looked absolutely stunning in her elegant dress, along with her four bridesmaids in soft pink dresses and was escorted by her brother-in-law Stu who proudly walked her down the aisle. After their first kiss and the signing of the marriage schedule, we all headed outside for a flurry of colourful confetti!
Relaxing in the Sunshine
The weather could not have been better and the Shooting Lodge has its own suntrap of a private garden area for the guests to mingle and relax in the warm Spring sunshine. The hotel laid on buggies to transport Hayley and Lee, us, the wedding photographers/videographers, the bridal party and close family around the grounds for photos by the grand entrance and then with just the bride and groom for couple portraits by the stream in the woodlands.
A feast of a meal… and what a surprise!
The food at the hotel was as exquisite as always with beautifully presented 3 courses, ending with all-time favourite, Sticky Toffee Pudding. As a secret surprise for Lee, Hayley had organised Singing Waiters who quickly had everyone on their feet, waving napkins and singing at the top of their voices!! Such a fantastic atmosphere and great to see everyone having such a great time.. especially Lee when he got over the shock!
Crazy Dancefloor Party!
With the incredible Wedding Host / DJ Tom Finkill, just as Hayley and Lee entered the room, everyone was on their feet, holding hands, swaying and singing to ‘Amore’ then Hayley and Lee kept with tradition, cutting their cake on the dance floor followed quickly by their first dance as husband and wife.
With plenty of high-energy dancing the guests were treated to a hot buffet of deliciousness then it was time for ‘Pop World’…coloured visors and bottles of Blue WKD were handed out and DJ Tom hyped the tempo to retro tunes from the ’80s and ’90s (favourite timed for Hayley and Lee) such as S Club 7, the Back Street Boys and the Spice Girls.
What an incredible day, even as we left late into the evening, the bride and groom were still dancing away with their children, Ollie and Tia, friends and family with a few hours to go!
