Carden Park Spring Wedding Photography

20th May 2022

Anticipation of the day ahead

Dinosaurs, a shark, fish bear and a caravan… that’s how the day started with Harrison, nephew to the groom, entertaining himself in the lounge at the Carden Park Hotel whilst waiting for Oscar, his cousin (Nicola and Luke’s son) to arrive. As soon as he did, they proceeded to see how high they could jump off the stairs with Harrison only making it to step 2 whilst Oscar managed an impressive step 7!

Preparations at the Stable Suite

Meanwhile, Nicola and the flower girls, including the beautiful little Erin – Nicola & Luke’s daughter – prepared for the wedding at the Stable Suite. Originally, they had planned for an outdoor late Spring wedding by the Pagoda, but it was decided to hold the Ceremony inside at the Shooting Lodge due to May showers. Some of the guests didn’t receive this last minute amendment so the hotel kindly transported missing guests around the Estate on golf buggies!

The Shooting Lodge Wedding Ceremony

After a lovely Ceremony in the beautifully decorated room with blossom trees and petals scattered by the Flower Girls and a confetti tunnel, the children headed off to the Bouncy Castle whilst the grown-ups enjoyed some bubbly and a ‘catch up’ in the Shooting Lodge Bar.

What a great idea!

With so many children at the wedding, the Bouncy Castle was such a great idea as it kept them entertained for hours. At first it was the adventurous 4 Page Boys, lead by Oscar, Nicola & Luke’s son, who ventured on there doing somersaults and dives with Erin observing from the side. As the other children saw how much fun the Page Boys were having they all joined in….for hours….and hours!

Crazy Veil Shots!

After dodging a few showers we managed to get the group photos done by the wisteria and brightly coloured azaleas. Afterwards, we were taken by golf buggy – driven by Ken from Concierge – across the golf course to a pretty bridge over a pond for some gorgeous portrait photos of Nicola and Luke. As we moved to ‘the cave’ up a steep hill, the views opened out to a stunning backdrop of Cheshire countryside for a few more portraits followed by some ‘crazy veil’ shots!
