The Preparations
From the first moment we spoke with Andrea and Matthew we knew their wedding was going to be loads of fun and laughter. Andrea, not being one to follow tradition, wore a stunning silver dress and tiara, both of which sparkled beautifully in the Spring sunshine.
The Ceremony
After getting ready in separate hotels, the Ceremony took place in Sale at All Saints RC Church and with Andrea’s family being of Scottish descent, a piper played outside the doors to welcome in the guests. Following a full Catholic Mass, confetti tunnel and some group photos, Andrea & Matthew headed off to The Bowdon Rooms, Altrincham in a stylist Vintage open-back car for the celebrations.
The Wedding Celebrations
The Bowdon Rooms is a beautiful 125-year-old Edwardian building, well known in the area as a dance hall with its grand ballroom and social events. Over the years, the Bowdon Rooms have undergone several renovations to maintain its architectural beauty and preserve its historical significance. Within easy reach of the market town of Altrincham and the picturesque village of Hale, with railway stations and hotels, it is the perfect location for a family wedding.
A Very Grand Entrance
The piper escorted the bride and groom into the Wedding Breakfast, adding an element of tradition, heritage, and grandeur to their entrance. The amazing food at The Bowdon Rooms is also something to talk about, with the attentive care of the venue staff and catering team from Herb & Spice offering discreet but impeccable service.
Party Time!
After some incredible speeches, the grand ballroom was transformed into a stunning evening party room with a pianist, DJ and lots of dancing to Bowie, The Smiths and plenty of iconic tunes from the 80s.
