Dukinfield Town Hall caretaker
Disturbing start to the day’s photography, as I lost my wife/assistant/camera equipment within 5 minutes of arriving at Dukinfield Town Hall. She didn’t return for about 15 minutes….totally unreachable by phone. Before I had a chance to panic, the wanderer returned. Victoria had been busy, she had found the caretaker, who was so passionate about his building that she had learned about the town hall’s finest features. From the ornate Victorian tiles, galleried staircase which lent itself so well to a cosy group photo, and the modern additions including a cool stainless steel walkway. Victoria had made a new friend in the process.
Pre-wedding shoot
We had met James and Kai a month previously for a pre-wedding shoot, so when it came to their day they knew all the moves! That’s not to say this was a staged wedding shoot – there was so much emotion the day, (by the bucket full) you could feel how much these guys love each other. The pre-wedding shoot certainly helped them feel more relaxed for the camera.
Moving on from the Town Hall to Stamford Golf Club, and we were blessed with fine and very sunny weather! Kai and James had dressed the room with beautiful Autumnal colours, leaves and little jars of Kai’s homemade pumpkin jam – delicious BTW.
Sparkler fun!
As this was the Saturday evening before Bonfire Night, we had great fun creating a sparkler tunnel with all the reception guests and 120 sparklers. This got the evening warmed up before the first dance and dancing into the evening.
