Old Hall Hotel
The beautiful Spa town of Buxton, Winter sunshine and the oldest hotel in England… what a perfect backdrop for a small but perfectly formed family wedding.
Sheona looked elegant in her classic-styled dress which was set off with a white furry shrug and matching bridesmaids. The intimate hotel ceremony room was packed with guests including Yates, the Golden Retriever.
The laughter and merriment continued throughout the day, helped along by many a glass of warm mulled wine after the legalities were completed. Both sides of the families got on so well that photographing such a happy & relaxed group was a real pleasure. Most of the guests even behaved on the outdoor group shots, despite the bitter cold wind and passing tourists.
The Wedding Breakfast was served in the hotel’s restaurant where all the guests shared one large oval table so the funny stories, leg-pulling and speeches, including Sheona’s could be shared easily, capturing the atmosphere and emotion of this special day. Yates was so well behaved at the table!
Close friends that arrived just in time for the speeches got involved especially as they had some great stories of Damian’s miss spent youth and the evening was finished off with some romantic photos outside the entrance to the famous Buxton Opera House (in between the pantomime goers arriving in droves in the background.)
